③Locate the diesel fuel injection pump on your engine.

Step 2: Timing Marks

Identify the timing marks on both the engine and the injection pump. These marks are essential for setting the correct timing.

Step 3: Check Engine Timing

Rotate the engine to the top dead center (TDC) position of the compression stroke for the cylinder you are adjusting. The timing marks on the engine should align.

Step 4: Lock the Injection Pump
